J.W. (Bill) Lehman
The late J.W. (Bill) Lehman, with his wife Rose, began his ministry with the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Texas in 1951 and started a family with the birth of their daughter Nona. Bill served as a missionary in Rwanda from 1956 to 1959, and pastored in five North American Union Conferences from 1960 to 1985, including four years in Canada as the Union Conference Revivalist. Bill was considered to be a “pastor’s pastor.” He authored two books, Christ Our Righteousness, and The Matchless Charms of Christ. Bill continued in the ministry even after retirement until his death in July of 2001.
Bill had a deep desire to see people respond to the Master’s call: “My son, give me thine heart . . . ” (Proverbs 23:6).
